1. Who we are
Crumbs is operated by CRUMBS APP LIMITED, a company registered in England & Wales (company number 17260345), registered office: Flat 2, 50 Hatton Garden, London EC1N 8YS.
This page explains how to request deletion of your Crumbs account, or of some or all of the personal data linked to it, without logging in here. No login is required to use this page.
2. Delete from the Crumbs app (full account)
The fastest way to permanently delete your whole account and associated data:
- Open Crumbs and sign in
- Go to Profile
- Scroll to the bottom → Delete account
- Type DELETE to confirm
Deleting in the app permanently removes your account immediately. There is no undo.
3. Request account deletion by email
If you've uninstalled Crumbs, or can't sign in:
- Email hello@crumbsapp.co.uk from the email address on your Crumbs account
- Subject: Delete my account
- Include your Crumbs username if you remember it
We'll confirm and delete the account and associated data. We aim to complete requests promptly — usually within a few days. If we need to verify ownership, we may ask a follow-up question.
4. Delete some or all data (keep your account)
You can request deletion of specific data, or all of your data, without deleting your account.
- Email hello@crumbsapp.co.uk from the email address on your Crumbs account
- Subject: Delete my data
- Say clearly what you want deleted (for example: reviews, visit logs, lists, avatar, phone number, or all personal data) and that you want to keep your account
- Include your Crumbs username if you remember it
We'll confirm what we can remove and process the request. We aim to complete requests promptly — usually within a few days. If we need to verify ownership or clarify the scope, we may ask a follow-up question.
Some data is required for the account to work (for example your email and username). If you ask us to delete data that the account needs, we'll tell you and you can choose to delete the whole account instead.
5. What we delete
Full account deletion permanently removes:
- Your profile, username, and photo
- Your ratings, notes, and visits
- Your lists and saved restaurants
- Your followers, following, and friends
- Plans you own, blocks, and uploaded files (avatars / review photos)
Data-only requests remove the types of data you specify (from the list above, or other personal data we hold about you), while your account remains open. Data you did not ask us to delete is kept so the Service continues to work for you.
6. What may be kept
- Content you added to other people's shared lists may remain on that list but is no longer linked to you (when that content is part of what was deleted).
- Residual copies may remain in secure backups for a short time before being overwritten.
- For data-only requests, we keep the account credentials and any data you did not ask to delete.
We do not sell your data. Once a deletion request is processed, that deletion is permanent.
